Emma jumps

Emma is 5 months old here. She can almost sit up so we tried putting her in the bouncy....

she loves it. But only for a minute.

You might want to turn DOWN the volume, Shawn is using his new tile floor steamer, Jake is playing a game on the computer and Emma's bouncy is noisy too! Welcome to parenthood.

Turkey Day Program

Today Jake and his class had a short Turkey Day Program. As you can see Jake is beaming from ear to ear. He is sitting next to his best buddy Kyle and sporting a Pilgrim hat that he made in class.
 K4 Class.
This is when Jake spotted Mom, Dad & Emma.

The class is singing a Turkey Day song.
 Jake's buddies Kyle and Jayden.

The short video....

Mom & Dad enjoyed seeing all of the kids sing. Jake had a blast! And Emma tried to stay awake but all that noise caused her to dose off a few times in Dad's arms. Too funny.

Jake turns 4!

Jake loves to help us do anything these days. Even blowing up balloons....

How do you explain to a group of 3 year old kids to hunt for eggs?

Jake's school had an Easter Egg Hunt on Thursday. We had to move the Easter egg hunt inside because of the rain. The gym floor was a great place for "hiding" all the eggs.
The teacher explained what to do to the kids then said, "Ready, set, go, go, go, go, go!"
Half the class simply ran all the way across the gym by-passing all the eggs. Jake was one of them. He is in the red raincoat (in the video).

This was Jake's first Easter egg hunt experience! He had a blast.

Jelly beans in the grass atop a cupcake.

Jake and his pals Shawn and Kyle.

 The whole preschool crew.

Bags full of candy filled eggs. Some of the kids did not have baskets so to be fair they all got a grocery bag instead.

Teacher: "Ok, back to class we go. Single file. No shaking of the bags. March, march, march."

And they did just as they were told!

Jake running up the ramp in delight!

Now for the indoor picnic. Hot dogs, potato salad, cheese squares, chips and a cookie.
The cookie disappeared first.

Welcome to Thomas & Friends

Jake has collected a few more trains since Christmas. ; )

Jake is obsessed with Thomas & Friends. Jake has a new name each day depending on the color of his shirt. As do Mom and Dad. If you are wearing red, you are James. Blue, Thomas.
Gray, Spencer. Black, Hiro. Yellow, Molly.

Feeding Bambi

Jake and his bestest friend Carlie conquered 'a two hour tour' of our local Jambas Ranch. These two cuties feed bread to many, many animals to include a big black bear, buffaloes and a friendly lama. Well, Carlie ate most of the bread herself. The duck that followed her around was hopeful she'd share.

Vacation Bible School

My little boy all dressed up for Summer School

All the kiddos

Storybook time

Outdoor games with Shannon and Robbie

Snack time: Jake's FIRST ice cream cone.
He didn't know what to do with the cone.

Jake is thinking, 'Hey this kid is just my size.'

Jake tore up some chicken at
Vacation Bible School dinner time!
He always had to have one in each hand.

Jake on stage.
Shannon, one of the three Brighter girls, invited Jake to join in at Vacation Bible School where she was teaching. Her husband Robbie took this video so Jake wouldn't see me and I wouldn't spoil his good time.
He had a blast as long as Mama wasn't around. He'd cling to me if I was with him and if he could see me from a far he'd cry.
Jake had his own personal 'assistants', you could say, Charlene Brighter, Tracy Brighter and a sweet young gal named Ashley. And he has a new girlfriend, Jonna (she is the cutey in the pink with dark hair next to him in the video). He seems to like older women!

This was a heartfelt day for me.
Seeing my boy looking so grown up
and witnessing all the love from
the other children and staff.

Thanks to everyone at
Lemon Springs Methodist Church
and the Brighter girls!!

So you think you can dance 2009

Great Aunt Diane and Bugs sent Jake this singing, ear waging dog for Valentine's Day and he can't get enough of it. Shawn and I get a good laugh each time it plays. Enjoy!

Dadadadada

Jacob cracks me up with his throaty laugh and his fake cough. Yesterday he did his fake cough after he heard another kid coughing. Then a grin shined through. Silly boy.

9/5/08

Is he laughing or crying

I must say B was really ticking me off because he would not DANCE for us! I must not have had any treats. Not to mention his dislike for the camera.

This video (and the many to come) is really for Shawn... not very exciting to anyone but the parents I'm sure.

Babe, remember his first laughs? This is our little guy at 2 months old. Remember how exciting it was to hear him laugh for the first time? Well, it just keeps getting better and better!
Miss you Pop.

Love,
wife and bebe

Rice Puddin'

DAY 1 of rice cereal!! Shhhh.... he thinks it's puddin'.
Jake looks like a seasoned spoon-eater in this fine video!

It is so fun for Shawn and I to witness Jacob discover anything and everything! However, I imagine by the time he learns how to play "I SPY", we'll be over it.

Jake: "I spy a tree. I spy another tree." Mama might say, "I spy something with leaves that doesn't talk! Let's pretend we are trees!!!"
