Emma & her plushie

Emma is 9 months old now. She is still a very happy baby.
I made her a little Plush Felt Owl with the dies I designed for Clear & Simple Stamps. How cute right?!

Handmade Halloween Costume

Jake loves helping, especially when it comes to crafts.

Jake is singing a Thomas and Friends song while working....

Jake is Thomas and Carlie is Percy. They spent all of five minutes in these boxes.

While Trick-or-Treating Jake tripped and feel flat on his boxed belly at the second house we visited. His arms and legs were hanging straight out of the box, he couldn't move. I was laughing so hard until I realized he was hurt. I tried picking him up.... I was in the Percy box so I couldn't reach him until I took the costume off. Poor thing cut his lip on the box. He didn't want me to fuss over him. He said, "I FINE." and then he turned to the man at the door and said, "TRICK OR TREAT."
Jake had to get his candy, don't cha know. ;)

We went to all of three houses before Jake decided he was done. Jake was more than happy with his 15 pieces of candy. Which, by the third day, he had forgotten he even had any candy.

Collage Cupcake Flags

Aren't these just TO DIE FOR? I had so much fun making these!!
The how: I pasted Jake's head onto vintage boy pics, drew and painted some wings, added a hat, glued them to bamboo sticks and Voila! Instant ART for your cupcake! and fun souvenirs for your guests!

Halloween Inspired

I whipped up these little 8 x 10 paintings as soon as Jake's little head hit the pillow. Cute right?

Homemade Gifts Galore

We are so sad we didn't make it to South D.
Shawn is much better. Jake never did get Pneumonia. And I didn't lose my head.

I planned to shower you all with little gifts. Look closely, you just might find one for you.

8 months

Last months highlights:

second tooth
likes to stand w/help
holds his bottle
scooches (on our way to a crawl)
says "mamamamamamamamama"

STILL . . .
sleeping through the night
laughs whole-heartedly at the dogs
eats rice cereal once a day
smiles when mom or pop enters the room
as cute as ever.

I have recently discovered a NEW craft.
It's called ATC.
Artist Trading Cards.

You make collage ART
in the size of a Baseball card
and trade them with other artists.

Vintage photos are popular.

This IMAGE is not an ATC... but it could be.
The only rule is the SIZE.
(the image above is simply me sharing my day & my likes)

I'll post a few cards soon.
And they are of family!!!
Even more fun to KNOW who is in it.

Art is a means of adventure

Seven Months

Last Months Highlights:

First Play-date
Sitting Up
Eating Solids
First Camping Trip
First Golf Cart Ride

I'm sure there are more accomplishments or events but
my Momnesia has kicked into high gear.

All I know is this last month was a whirlwind of new TO DOs!
It is going by WAY TOO FAST.

and his FIRST TOOTH!!

Half of a year has already gone by ...My how time flies! Have you ever noticed how time seems to go by fast when you're busy? We've been busy alright, and lovin' every minute of it!
