Our Garden @ 3 wks

Green Beans from seeds.

Squash, Zucchini, Cucumber, and a few Grean Beans. Plus, there are 4 Bee Balms in the center to attract, what else, Bees!

 Green Beans close-up @ 3 weeks.

Zucchini flowers. This is a good sign!

Green Beans that we will train to climb.

Just the front of the house.

What is this? 4 have popped up all in the same area and around the same time.
Fungus?
Grammy Gail helped me plant the Green Beans and she planted one in the sand to see how it would grow.

Random photo from our property. Tanner's headstone. After, what, 2+ years, it's still standing. Amazing.

I'll be back soon to show you the progress of our mini gardens. It's week 6 now and they are going strong, even after deer ate most of the leaves.

xx Steph

Beginning to settle in

I am loving my new gourmet kitchen...
right now it is still missing the canopy vent hood. It will be installed next week. The first one was delivered damaged.

The command center fully equipped with cell phone charger storage and a Lazy Susan of sorts for pens and things.

Here is the problem area. The breakfast nook is simply a sitting area but it needs some color, some pop, something! HELP!!!

Look at that long, sexy island. Plenty of room to make a boat load of decorated Christmas cookies .... Mom, can you come help??

Here's the family room. I thought arranging furniture in a larger space would be easier but it's not. This room is also, still in progress!

We have never tried GREEN as an accent color until now. What do you think?
We've done red, blue, and burnt umber. This weekend the plan is to hit every yard sale in the area in search for all things green and organizational bins/baskets and refurbish worthy furniture!!

Wish me luck!

House: Week 14

 Jake says, "Heeey!"
Really, that is what Jake says when he approaches people.

Kinda like.... Hey, Here I Am!!!

The CABINETS are in!

Here's an angle towards the Grandmother's suite.
Aka: Maid's Quarters.

We told Shawn's Mom she could visit if she cooked all the meals....wait..... she does that regardless! Of course, Bo (Pap) would argue that HE was the one who'd end up cooking all the meals.

Here's a view of the working side of the island. There will be a sink, dishwasher, pull-out trash and a microwave!!

On the other side of the island is the breakfast area. We had it lowered to regular table height. I'm excited to NOT have to buy taller chairs. Then we can interchange them with the dining room table! Brilliant!

The command center!!!

Master bath vanity.

Our friend Maggie told us about this GREAT HARDWARE FIND on Ebay.
We would have spent $7 per knob/drawer pull if we got them through the cabinet company. We found them on ebay for $2 each.

Woohoo!!!!
Thanks Maggie!!

Jake says, "Byeeeeeee"

We move in 17 days or so.
